Paul Spencer, US-Agrarattaché in Berlin, hat die anstehenden Verhandlungen zwischen den USA und der EU über ein bilaterales Freihandelsabkommen als eines der „großen” Projekte des Jahres 2013 bezeichnet. Gentechnisch verbesserte Lebensmittel sind dabei ein Knackpunkt.
